On March 25th 2019, Claridge’s hosted the most extraordinary afternoon tea. René Redzepi and his team flew over from Noma Restaurant to collaborate with baker Richard Hart and Martyn Nail, Head Chef at Claridge’s. Together they created the most extraordinary afternoon tea for 50 lucky guests. Alexander Armstrong gallantly hosted the afternoon. And of course, tea cocktails were paired to each dish by the Tea Lady herself.
To give everyone a chance of winning, we created a random ballot to choose 50 guests from everyone who had donated to enter.
An enormous thank-you to everyone who supported this wonderful afternoon. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to kickstart our programmes in earnest, and fund nearly 30 educational scholarships in Malawi’s tea communities.
