Will is Executive Head of The Abbey School in Reading, a leading independent girls’ school.

He is passionate about the broader opportunities to which education gives access. He is a committed advocate for girls’ education and for equality of opportunity for students of all backgrounds. His focus is on supporting young people to develop the confidence and ability to contribute to, change and renew their communities.

Prior to his career in schools he worked first as a journalist and then in education in museums and palaces such as the Tower of London and Hampton Court.

Alongside teaching he is a writer: his first novel, Central Reservation, was published in 2011.
