Thank you to everyone who made the event so fabulous - especially to everyone who donated to win a seat. Thanks to your generosity, we have raised enough to offer educational scholarships to scores more young people in Malawi - and to start funding girls through secondary school too. Watch this space as the Rare family grows!
We know the random ballot couldn’t be kind to everyone for this event on March 25th 2019, but we hope that if you entered and weren’t lucky, you will keep following our work and the progress of our scholars, and keep in touch for our next events.
An enormous thank you to everyone who made the day so special - the entire Claridge’s family for hosting us, René Redzepi and his wonderful chefs from Noma restaurant, Richard Hart and his brilliant team from Hart Bageri, Martyn Nail and his extraordinary family, Alexander Armstrong for hosting us with such panache, Mayamiko Chibowa for speaking so articulately about the value of university scholarships, Warren Orchard for the beautiful photos, Jack Sotti and Diageo for providing the spirits, and to Kathi Wolke, Jack Clay and Rare Tea Company for supplying the extraordinary tea - to help us raise funds for educational scholarships for young people in tea producing communities.
